Financial Calculator (BA II Plus Layout)
This tool mirrors the layout and muscle memory of a TI BA II Plus Professional–style keypad: yellow TVM keys, orange functions, salmon operators, and second functions printed above the keys. Use CPT to enter COMPUTE mode, fill four of five TVM registers, then tap the unknown (for example FV). For NPV, store I/Y, enter cash flows with CF, then CPT + NPV.
CPT toggles COMPUTE; then N, I/Y, PV, PMT, FV, NPV, or IRR. 2ND + key for top labels. AMORT: 2ND PV. ◁ backspaces input; ☀ or brush toggles theme; DEG/RAD: status bar.

Unlike a spreadsheet template, this page is built around keystrokes: 2ND combinations, worksheet shortcuts (DATE, BOND, STAT, and others), and a visible status row for modes such as BGN/END and DEG/RAD.
- TVM: ordinary annuity / annuity due via 2ND PMT (BGN). P/Y and C/Y via 2ND N and 2ND I/Y.
- Amortization: after TVM is consistent, press 2ND PV (AMORT) and step periods with the arrow keys.
- Cash flows: CF adds a flow; arrows move the cursor; 2ND + arrows delete or insert.
- Worksheets: 2ND on digit keys opens DATE, ICONV, depreciation, Δ%, break-even, profit margin, and bond price (simplified inputs).
Limitations (read before an exam)
This is an independent web implementation for study and quick checks. Always verify critical results against your allowed hardware or official exam policy. Bond and statistics modes use simplified inputs compared to every edge case on a physical unit.
FAQ
Why does my answer differ from the handheld?
Check BGN/END, P/Y, and whether I/Y is entered as a per-period rate. Rounding on the display can also differ when FORMAT uses fewer decimals.
Is data sent to a server?
Calculations run in your browser; nothing you type is transmitted to our backend for this tool.
How do I clear everything fast?
2ND + CE/C (CLR WORK) clears the entry state; 2ND + FV clears TVM registers; 2ND + +/- (RESET) performs a broader reset in line with the keypad labels.
